EAZA Shellshock Campaign
From 2004 - 2005 we ran the EAZA Shellshock Campaign for turtles and tortoises. Colchester Zoos Shellshock Campaign ended, with fantastic results. The total amount raised was £21,588.87 and 12,355 supporting signatures were collected. In January 2005 Colchester Zoo donated £2,000 of its funds to a turtle conservation project in Sri Lanka after the devastating effects of the boxing day Tsunami. The funds Colchester Zoo has raised for the campaign will help support vital turtle and tortoise conservation projects all over the world.
