Action for the Wild is the charitable arm of Colchester Zoo. It achieved charitable status in 2004, although the organisation has been running since 1993. Action for the Wild is working to provide financial and technical support to a number of conservation projects all over the world. In the last five years, we have donated over £200,000 to conservation projects worldwide. We have supported a number of the chosen projects for many years. In addition, each year we also choose a number of new projects to support, based on new developments at Colchester Zoo or new species additions to the collection.
