Our Staff

Action for the Wild employs two staff in the UK.

Rebecca Perry, Director of Conservation. Education and Research

Becks-webRebecca Perry started at Colchester Zoo in October 2004, then became employed as Conservation Officer by Action for the Wild in November 2005. In April 2009, her job role changed to Director of Conservation, Education and Research. Rebecca is responsible for developing and coordinating all of the work of Action for the Wild with her team at Colchester Zoo; working to increase project support and funding and to raise awareness about the threats wildlife species face in the wild.

Nineteen staff members are also employed using Action for the Wild funds on the UmPhafa Private Nature Reserve. Such positions range from Reserve Manager and Project Coordinators to Game Guards and the Maintenance Crew. Our South African employees are crucial in ensuring the development and progress of the reserve towards its goal of rehabilitating the land and restoring wildlife populations.
